Not sure about your industry, but there sure are a lot of misconceptions about working with a staffing agency.  We thought we’d take this opportunity to clear up some of the most popular ones we hear. Check out the list below and let us know if there are other assumptions we can demystify for you.

Myth #1 – Staffing agencies/recruiters don’t find permanent positions.

Nope. At Hire Strategies, we provide temporary, temp to hire, and direct hire positions. What’s the difference? In a temporary placement, candidates are screened and hired as employees of Hire Strategies. In a temp to hire position, the employee works temporarily for 3-6 months at a company and then he or she is eligible to become a full-time employee directly with the company. Direct hires or permanent hires are employees hired directly to the company after being processed and screened through Hire Strategies.

Myth #2 – You have to pay a staffing agency to land a job.

No, the employer who hires you pays the staffing agency.  Easy peasy.

Myth #3 – There are no health benefits when I take a job through a staffing agency.

Wrong. We’ve got you.  When you’re placed on assignment with us,  you can enroll in Hire Strategies’ benefits package. We offer ACA approved coverage including; health, dental, short-term disability, and life insurance.

Myth #4 – The only jobs I can get through a staffing agency are in construction or manufacturing.

False. Hire Strategies is a full-service agency that staffs across all industries. If you want an office job, we’ll place you in one. It’s our mission to help you build your future in whatever field you desire.

Myth #5 – Landing a job through a staffing agency means you’ll earn less.

No way, in fact, you’ll probably make more than you expected.  As experienced recruiters, we understand the job market better than most professionals and we provide job seekers with additional negotiating power to make sure you’re getting paid appropriately for your work.

What other myths have you heard about recruiters? We’re happy to jump on a call or meet you for coffee to chat.
